Client Requirements
The client used Lotus Notes Domino as the platform for the application used by all staff to apply for leave and required a replacement to Microsoft based platform with streamlined workflow and enhanced features.
Solution Overview
Enhanced employee self service workflows for leave application system
- The Leave Application System (LAS) enabled client staff to apply for leave requests to which they were entitled
- The system tracked and monitored each leave request of each staff
- The system provided access control and roles assignment as per user groups – applicant, recommending officer, approving officer, human resource and IT administrators
- It integrated real-time with SAP ECC 6.0
- It allowed advanced routing and re-routing options
- The system catered to 26 leave types across 4 leave schemes
- The user could also apply, approve and cancel leave in blocks
- It provided a search mechanism where results could be exported into excel
- LAS interfaced with the corporate Lotus Note SMTP email service for notification generated via emails to relevant parties
- It provided customised email templates
